I am an artist, mentor and instructor located in the foothills of North Carolina.

Creativity has been a part of my life as far back as I can remember, from crayons to computers and everywhere in between. My first love is painting, but lately a deep passion of layers, patterns and mark-making has emerged in both my whimsical and realistic mixed media artwork. My paper collages and acrylic paintings are inspired by a good dose of humor, a flair for color, and a lighter side of life and nature, often featuring fun animal characters and colorful botanicals. I use creativity as a way to bring smiles to people's hearts through paper and paint.
I specialize in paper collages, acrylic paintings and pencil drawings. My custom artwork can be found in individual homes and businesses throughout the United States in addition to England and Germany in Europe. I participate in numerous regional exhibitions and art festivals each year. My work is also in stores and galleries in North Carolina.
I provide private art lessons, mentorships, team-building classes and workshops from my home studio. I have also taught art classes at the Hickory Museum of Art (2016-2023). During the summer months, my teaching experience has included art camp instruction for both HMA and Catawba Valley Community College.
My background consists of a BS in Commercial Design from Appalachian State University. After 15 years as a sales executive, art director and marketing director at a regional advertising firm, I reclaimed myself as a full-time artist with a professional studio art practice located in my home. Beyond art commissions, I have also worked with local schools and churches on public art projects and Artist-of-the-Month art clubs.
